Zsilinszky asked Watson, Ïs there a space X such that X2 is Baire and X has a dense Baire subset Y such that X×Y is not Baire?" An affirmative answer is found by modifying an example from W.G. Fleissner and K. Kunen, Barely Baire spaces, Fund. Math. 101 (1978) pp.229-240. The question can be generalized to ask that Y dense in X has certain Baire products Xn ×Ym. The construction generalizes to yield a characterization of such questions that can be satisfied.
