Strong Axioms of Infinity in NFU

We will present results on the strength of certain extensions of Jensen's theory NFU (Quine's New Foundations weakened to allow urelements). Two extensions of NFU will be considered. The weaker one has been shown by Solovay to be precisely equiconsistent with the existence of n-Mahlo cardinals for each n. The consistency of the stronger one follows from the consistency of n-subtle (or n-ineffable) cardinals for each n, but questions remain about the lower bound on its strength. The two extensions will be defined and the indicated results discussed in more detail.
