The Construction of Functorial Transitive Quasi-Uniformities

We examine a simplified method of constructing functorial transitive quasi-uniformities on topological spaces. As a consequence, we obtain spanning classes for several well-known sections of the forgetful functor from the category of Quasi-Uniform spaces to the category of Topological spaces. Included amongst the examples which we will consider are the fine-transitive section, the well-monotone functor, the semi-continous functor and the point-finite functor.
