Correspondence Principle and Translation Principle in Complex Quadratic Iteration Theory

A lot of symmetry in the Mandelbrot set can be explained by a Correspondence and Translation Principle both conjectured and partially proved by E. Lau and D. Schleicher. Recently, we have found complete proofs. The aim of the talk is to explain the two principles and to discuss consequences. Moreover, we try to present the idea of the proofs.
