Compactification of limit S-net spaces
by
Josef Šlapal
Technical University of Brno, Czech Republic

The S-nets and their subnets are obtained from the usual nets and subnets by replacing the directed sets and cofinal maps with the objects and morphisms of a given construct S. The limit S-net spaces dealt with are convergence structures using S-nets for expressing the convergence and being subjected to the three basic convergence axioms: the constant-net axiom, the subnet axiom and the Urysohn axiom. We investigate compactification of limit S-net spaces and show some similarities between its behaviour and that of compactification of topological spaces. Especially, we present and study analogies of Alexandroff and Cech-Stone compactifications.
