A Novel Numerical Solution Method for the Linear Boltzmann Equation

I will discuss a novel numerical solution to the linear Boltzmann equation. The method is based on reducing the linear Boltzmann equation to a matrix partial differential equation rather than a partial integro-differential equation. A method for calculating the evolution using a complex generalised eigenfunction method is presented for two simple example cases. The generalisation of this method follows straight forwardly.
