Symmetric Block Cipher System over GF(2n) : A Novel Method to Introduce Nonlinearity Using Linear Feedback Shift Registers.

A symmetric key cryptosystem that uses nonlinear operations and can be realized using linear feedback shift registers is presented. The system is analyzed and proved to be secure against ciphertext only attack, known and chosen plaintext attacks. Realization of the system using shift registers is also discussed.
