Polynomials over division rings
by
T. Y. Lam
University of California at Berkeley
The work of pioneers such as Wedderburn, Dickson, Ore and Jacobson has shown that there is a good theory for polynomials (and their roots) over division rings D, parts of which do not even require D to be centrally finite. In this talk, we'll give a quick overview, and discuss some of our recent efforts in further developing this theory.
