Dynamics of Out(Fn) on the boundary of outer space.

Outer space CVn is an analog of Teichmüller space for the group Out(Fn) of outer automorphisms of Fn. It is the set of free actions of Fn on simplicial trees, and it has a natural compactification in the set of small actions of Fn on R-trees.
We study the density of the orbits of Out(Fn) on the boundary of outer space and describe a proper closed subset Fn of the boundary of outerspace on the complement of which Out(Fn) acts properly discontinuously. Moreover, there is an unique minimal non-empty, closed invariant subset Mn in the boundary of outer space. Mn contains every simplicial action in Fn and every action with at most n-1 ergodic measures.
