Some Results Relating to the Operator Inequality |T2| >= |T|2

It is easily seen that if an operator T is hyponormal, then T satisfies the operator inequality |T2| >= |T|2. It will be shown that several other classes of operators satisfy this inequality. It will also be shown that operators satisfying this inequality belong to some well known classes of operators.
