The Automorphism Group of the Toeplitz Operator Algebra

The automorphism group of Toeplitz operator algebra generated by the Toeplitz operators with symbols being continous on the circle except a given finite points is characterized.In particular it is shown in this talk that the subgroup consisting of those automorphism of which the action on any Toeplitz operator is a compact perturbation of a Toeplitz operator is essentilly homomorphic to the subgroup of the homomorphism of the unit circle preserving the orientation and keeping the set of the "given finite points" fixed.

Morever the automorphism group of the Toeplitz operator algebra on Hardy space over bidisk is also given.Further some natural questions are posed.
