Fractal Tiling generated by number system

In this talk, Pisot number system and canonical number system are discussed. Such number systems are closely related to the tiling of some Euclidean space. In many cases, the tiling has a self affine property and fractal boundary. It seems to be a challenging problem to study the topological structure of each tile. Recent development and the unsettled problem in this area will be demonstrated.
