Metrizability of Manifolds by Diagonal Properties
by

This talk investigates metrization theory of manifolds. We study diagonal properties in manifolds to arrive at developability and metrizability. We find that diagonal properties play an important role. For example, perfectly normal manifold whose diagonal satisfies a weakened G*\delta-condition is metrizable and a manifold whose diagonal satisfies a weakened regular-G\delta-condition is metrizable.
