Determination of a parameter in a heat equation

The problem of determining an unknown parameter in the heat equation with ill-posed nature is considered in this work. Applying Tikhonov's regularization idea, we develop a procedure to find a stable approximate solution to the unknown term from the nonsmooth overspecified data. Numerical simulation is conducted to illustrate the applicability of our approximation method.
