The question of existence of many positive nonradial solutions of semilinear elliptic equations on an annulus in RN has been studied by many authors, namely, by Coffman (1987), Li (1990), Lin (1993), and Wang (1996). Results have been established for N=2 and N >= 4, leaving the case N=3 open. In this talk we prove the existence of many positive nonradial solutions for any N >= 2.
