Uniqueness of Product Type Actions on AFD Factors of Type III\lambda (0 < \lambda <= 1)

We show that a one parameter automorphism group \alpha with \Gamma(\alpha) = R on an AFD factor of type III\lambda (0 < \lambda <= 1) which fixes a Cartan subalgebra pointwise is cocycle conjugate to the product type action.
