On some semigroups of operators

Let X be a set of operators on classes of algebras. Then we can consider the semigroup generated by X with the usual composition of operators as the multiplication. If we also include the usual order among operators, we get an ordered semigroup. The general problem is to describe such ordered semigroups. (The well known result of this kind is Pigozzi's description of partially ordered semigroup generated by { H, S, P}.) If we restrict domains of operators to a particular variety V we call that ordered semigroup a standard semigroup of the variety V. In this talk some standard semigroups of operators generated by some well known universal algebraic operators will be described.
