Ideal Structure and Representation of l1-Munn Algebras and Semigroup Algebras

In this talk first we explain the ideal structure of l1-Munn algebras. This provides a description of Jacobson, prime and Brown McCoy radicals of these algebras. Then we construct *-representations of certain involutive l1-Munn algebras from those of their underlying algebras and we show that this construction keeps the type of representation.
Application of these results gives a description of the radicals of semigroup algebras of regular semigroups with a finite number of idempotents. This involves generalizations of some of the results of B. Barnes to noninverse semigroups.
