Some facts of spectral theory of random fields
by
Dmytro Pavlov
Kyiv Taras Shevchenko University, Ukraine

It is technically defficult to determine whether the characteristic function is correlation one for random field in terms of spectral representatin.

The easy-to-use necessary and sufficient conditions for one-dimensonal distribution function to have characteristic function which is a correlation one of homogeneous isotropic random field are obtained.

The relationsheeps between distances expressed in terms of different metrics for correlation functions and spectral functions of homogeneous isotropic fields are established. Estimations of the closeness of correlation functions, which have the same spectral functions within the interval, are obtained.
