Recapturing New Zealanders - the 2001 Post Enumeration Survey

The Post Enumeration Survey is the recapture phase of a capture-recapture design to estimate New Zealand's population size. This talk will cover the methods used in this survey including:- the sample design, the administration of the survey, imputation and estimation methodology. The distribution of the undercount found in the 1996 Post Enumeration Survey will also be included.
