Representations of affine Lie algebras having infinite dimensional weight spaces

In this talk we will present our recent efforts in studying irreducible dense modules for affine Lie algebras with all infinite dimensional weight spaces based on article D. Adamovi\' c, Mathematical Research Letters 1997, 809-821. The connections with some aspects of representation theory of affine vertex operator algebras will be also discussed.
