Extensions of Hilbert C*-modules

The aim of the talk is to introduce the concept of an extension for Hilbert C*-modules. Our approach depends on the properties of ideal submodules and morphisms of Hilbert C*-modules over possibly different C*-algebras. We show that there is a Hilbert C*-module Vd over the multiplier algebra M(A) which serves as a maximal essential extension of a given Hilbert A-module V. We also prove that Vd can be recognized as the strict completion of V with respect to a suitable strict topology defined on V.
