On Regions of Efficiency in Data Envelopment Analysis

For each inefficient Decision Making Unit (DMU) according to the Additive model of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) there is a corresponding efficient DMU at the efficiency frontier. A region of efficiency of efficient DMU can be obtained, in which its efficiency is preserved under the non-negative perturbations of inputs and outputs of all DMUs. For that region there is a corresponding region around inefficient DMU and around all other DMUs. Relation between these regions is studied in the paper. A generalization for the case of all efficient DMUs, with the region of joint efficiency is also considered. An illustrative example is provided.
