Inverse electroencephalographic problem, modeling and analysis
by
Andres Fraguela-Collar

We propose a model for study the inverse electroencephalographic problem which consider the brain and the rest of the human tissues as conductor elements with different conductivities.

Using the methods of Potential theory, it is possible to reduce the model to an operational statement in which conditions are set for the unicity of the recovery of active sources on the cerebral cortex from potential measurements regarding the head's scalp.

The unstability in the recovery of the sources is explained in a particular case where the human head is modelated as two non-concentrical spheres where the inner one corresponds to the brain.
