A new concept of Nearness

In this paper we generalize nearness spaces as defined by Herrlich in 1974 and non symmetrical proximities (i.e. Leader spaces or topological spaces) to the so called near operators and near spaces respectively. Moreover we are going to characterize those near spaces which can be extended to topological ones.
