Let H be a separable, infinite dimensional Hilbert space over the complex field. While the chaotic operators on H are not norm-dense in the operator algebra B(H), we show that they are dense with respect to the strong operator topology. We also show that the chaotic operators span a subspace that is norm-dense in B(H).
