Approximating Integral Operators Via Ostrowski Type Inequalities
by
Sever S. Dragomir
Victoria University, Melbourne, Australia

In 1938, A. Ostrowski proved an integral inequality which recently has been widly extended, generalized and applied in Numerical Analysis, in Information Theory, and for Special Means by the members of Research Group in Mathematical Inequalities and Application centered at Victoria Universiy in Melbourne (see for example http://rgmia.vu.edu.au/ ).

The main aim of our talk is to show how these type of inequalities can be applied in approximating integral operators.

Some examples concerning Fourier, Hankel and Mellin transform will be given as well.

For recent development of the domain visit the web site http://melba.vu.edu.au/~rgmia/IneqNumAnaly.html#OTI
