Convergences of Power Sequences in Banach Algebras

We consider the existence of the limits limn --> \infty an, limn --> \inftyaqn and limn --> \inftyaqn, where a is an arbitrary element of a complex Banach algebra with the unit, and q is an integer, q >= 2. Thus, results (J. J. Koliha, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 43 (1973) ) and (Chen Xu-Zhou and R. E. Hartwig, Linear Algebra Appl. 233 (1996) ) are extended.
