A note on the approximation entropy

We establish a formula for the metric entropy of an ergodic automorphism of a probability space which turns out to be very close to that for the an immediate application, a simple alternative proof that the approximation entropy introduced by Voiculescu coincides with the classical one in the commutative case is given.
