Modules and both reflective and coreflective subcategories of Ab

It is know that subcategories of Ab that are both epireflective and monocoreflective coincide with varieties in Ab, i.e., with classes of Abelian groups of order n, for a given n in \omega.

The subcategories of Ab that are both reflective and coreflective in Ab coincide with categories of modules that can be canonically fully embedded in Ab. There are continuum many of such categories and the corresponding rings can be fully described by means of mappings \omega --> \omega (an inner characterization of the corresponding modules will be given, too).
