On some problems in submaximal spaces
by
Joachim Schröder
University of the North at Qwa-Qwa, Department of Mathematics

The following questions are considered: Q1: Does every submaximal space contain a dense quasimaximal subspace? (O. Pavlov). Q2: Does every regular submaximal space contain a dense quasimaximal subspace? (O. Pavlov). Q3: Is every submaximal space \sigma-discrete? (Arhangelskii & Collins). Q4: Is there (in ZFC) a countable regular irresolvable space with disjoint tightness? (Bella & Malykhin).

The results go as follows: Q1: no. Q2: [MA] no. Q3: [V=L] yes. Q4: [MA] yes.
