Some Parity Results for 2^t-Cores

Recently, Hirschhorn, Sellers, and others proved results about the parity of t-cores for t which are small powers of 2. Using the nilpotence of Hecke algebras, we prove a general theorem about the parity of t-cores when t is any power of 2.
