ABC and Prime Divisors of Lucas Sequences

We will show how the ABC conjecture implies a conjecture of Erdös that predicts that P(2n-1)/n --> \infty, as n --> \infty, where P(a) denotes the largest prime factor of a. Naturally, the method extends to study the largest prime divisors of Lehmer and Lucas sequences.
