The known two-sided diagonalization method for computing the singular value decomposition of triangular matrices has been in last two decades thoroughly analyzed. Lately, the research concentrated on the quadratic convergence of scaled iterates and on the adaptation of the method for parallel computers. However, one problem has remained open: the relative accuracy of the method. The purpose of this communication is to present recent numerical investigation of the accuracy of the method.
