The following inequality
f((a+b)/2) <= ( ó
õ
b

a
f(s)ds)/(b-a) <= (f(a)+f(b))/2
for convex function f defined on the real interval is known as Hermite-Hadamard inequality.Some mappings closely connected with this inequality are introduced and their main properties are given. By using some of these properties new refinements of Hermite-Hadamard inequality are obtained.
