Applications of Banach space theory to sectorial operators

We will discuss recent joint work with Gilles Lancien (Besancon) and Lutz Weis (Karlsruhe). In particular we will explain how techniques from classical Banach space theory lead to the solution of the maximal regularity problem for sectorial operators.
