Lattices Arising in Investigations of Hedetniemi's Conjecture

It has been observed more than once that S. Hedetniemi's conjecture on the chromatic number of graph products can be stated nicely in the language of ordered sets. We show how an apparently weaker conjecture can be similarly translated into an attractive problem concerning the lattice of all finite graphs ordered by homomorphism.
