Mathematica 4.0 and Beyond

Plenary Lecture

Mathematica 4.0 includes a wide range of new algorithmic, language, and interface features. This talk will describe several of these new features and it will attempt to describe future directions for the kernel and the frontend. Also, using many of Mathematica's newest capabilities, some of Alfred's recent work with Mathematica has been repackaged into a comprehensive, easy to use graphical presentation tool called Surface Explorer.
