Test Case for Introducing Mathematica in Economics Studies

Poster Nowadays it is possible to define new teaching strategies using powerful software utilities based on the availability of equipment and possibilities of information technologies in educational environment.

In this context we designed and implemented some Mathematica-based teaching materials to support teaching of mathematics for students of Economics. The objective was to visualise some concepts that are usually difficult to interpret by students. A first test case was designed considering course contents, schedule, and number of students and their previous experience.

New applications involving different agents participating in the educational process with more ambitious objectives have been defined from obtained conclusions.
