Laguerre near-planes and orthogonal arrays-a classification of Laguerre near-planes of order 4

We investigate Laguerre near-planes of order 4, that is, orthogonal arrays of strength 3 on 4 symbols, 4 constraints and index 1, and classify all such planes. We develop a description of these planes in terms of a single map and further characterise those Laguerre near-planes that can be extended to the Miquelian Laguerre plane of order 4.
