New and modified ranked set sampling procedures

New and modified ranked set sampling procedures are used to derive estimators of the parameters. These estimators are compared with those obtained from the known ranked set sampling procedures. It is shown that the relative precisions of the proposed estimators are higher than those of the estimators based on other procedures.
