A Thom-Sebastiani formula for motivic zeta functions

Using arc spaces of algebraic varieties and motivic integration we define motivic analogues of Igusa's local zeta functions. These are power series over the Grothendieck group of algebraic varieties with an endomorphism. We discuss their relation with motivic nearby cycles and deduce a motivic analogue of the Thom-Sebastiani formula for the Hodge spectrum of a critical point of a polynomial.
