The dual space of an asymmetric normed linear space

Given an asymmetric normed linear space (X, q), we construct the dual space (M, q^*). Consequently, we define and characterize the weak topologies generated by (M, q^*) on (X, q). We apply these results in order to obtain several results about weak and weak* compactness of the unit ball of (M, q^*).
