We study properties related to first countability and countable compactness for proximal or uniformizable \Delta- hit-and-miss hyperspace topologies. We present every such a topology as a proximal one. Thus, we can use the notion of Smirnov compactification: a useful tool to investigate strongly countable compactness in hyperspace theory.
