On problems which we can solve using Steinhaus Chessboard Theorem.
by
Marian Turzanski
Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University in Warsaw

The structure of the set of zeros of the continuous real valued function defined on square satisfying some additional boundary conditions is investigated. The main result is a generalization of Steinhaus chessboard theorem. This gives a solution of several problems as for example mountain climbing problem, Brouwer fixed point theorem on plane, eqilibrium theorem etc.
