Estimation of Lorenz Curves: A Bayesian Nonparametric Approach
by

In this article, using the recent development of the Bayesian nonparametric method with Dirichlet process prior, we estimate the Lorenz curves. We also consider the contaminated observations of income and propose the simple procedure of removing the contaminated data by using the posterior results. Further, we present the examples using the simulated data and the real data for the illustration of our approach.
