Z-gradation of Classical Affine Lie Algebras and Kac parameters
by

An algorithm is presented which determines the Kac parameters (nonnegative relatively prime integers) for every Z-gradation of type s of a classical affine Lie algebra (X_l^(1) =A_l^(1), B_l^(1), C_l^(1), D_l^(1)).
This algorithm determines also the corresponding base (the so called Kac base) of the root system of the classical affine Lie algebra. It is shown that in order to find the desired Kac parameters, as well as the Kac base, one first has to determine the corresponding simple Lie algebra. Therefore the results for classical simple Lie algebras are proved as well.
