On the Cech number and discreteness of C(X).

We give in this talk some results concerning the spaces C(X), C(X, I) and C(X, {0, 1}) of continuous functions from X to the reals, unitary interval and {0, 1}, respectively, with their box and Tychonoff topologies, and related to their Cech number, pseudocompactness and discreteness.
