Reflection in topology: the elementary submodel case
by
Lucia Junqueira
University of Sao Paulo

Given a topological space (X, T) and an elementary submodel M, we can define a new topological space XM: take X \cap M with the topology generated by { U \cap M : U in T \cap M}. We will do a short survey on this ``new topological operation'', giving old and new results. Also, we will discuss other ways to define a topological space using elementary submodels.
