Chronal Isomorphism
by
Udaykumar Vyas
Winston-Salem State University

A brief overview of the role of Topology in the General Theory of Relativity will be given. In particular, chronology preserving bijections known as chronal isomorphisms will be discussed. It will be proved that a chronal isomorphism preserves the important nature of global hyperbolicity for a space-time representing the universe.
